"Detroit City of Champions"
Printed on newspaper stock, this newspaper replica was reproduced from one of the only 3 known complete originals known to exist. It shows at a glance just how dominant this 1935 season was and includes a gorgeous photo of Joe Louis, team photos of the first championship Tiger, Lions and Red Wings teams as well as Gar Wood, Eddie Tolan and many others. The newspaper is dated April 19th, 1936 and was originally released the day after the first "Champions Day."
Each newspaper is numbered until the number 2,000 is reached and comes with a collectors card suitable for framing which describes the poster in detail.
This newspaper replica is an absolute must have for any serious Detroit Sports Collector.
All posters are available mounted on wood with a black beveled edge.
All images are also available on "sublimated metal" and mounted on black, cherry, walnut or royal blue wood plaques. Shown here is a City of Champions poster on a silver metal plate with descriptive text beneath it. Gold metal plates are also available.
